What will the Virtual Facilitator Certificate® Course cover?

We will dive into the What, the How, and the Who of meetings.

Ready to deep dive? Here we go:

The What: The meeting content. Learn how to build a well-prepared, clearly structured meeting that delivers the results your leaders expect.

The How: Discover how to run a meeting where participants drive the solutions while you, as the facilitator, maintain the structure. This includes:

  • Running a meeting that truly empowers participants.

  • Unlocking the group’s collective intelligence using human-centered design techniques such as brainwriting, mind-mapping, affinity mapping, and the importance/difficulty matrix.

  • Following the needs of the group and pivoting topics based on the dynamics in the room.

The Who: This section is about YOU as the facilitator! This includes:

  • Owning your power as a facilitator, so you both look and feel like you deserve to hold the authority in the room. We’ll delve deep into feelings of self-worth and how to address our anxiety as a facilitator.

  • Consistently improving as a facilitator, ensuring your learning continues well beyond this course.

This is not a sleepy, phone-it-in course. Instead, it’s a dynamic experience where you’ll be consistently engaged and participating. You’ll bond with your fellow classmates as you laugh together, share a-ha moments, question your assumptions, and practice facilitation in a supportive environment. We even have dance breaks, though you are welcome to sit those out 😊.

The course is structured as a case-in-point opportunity, where the instructors use their own facilitation of the class as a model for what works (and what works less well) in a facilitated environment.
